• What got you into Vpop?
  My Bae (Before Anyone Else) listens to a lot of Vpop and I myself make pop/hiphop music therefore I created an account here for networking to advance my music career and become closer to the Vietnamese music community. 
• Who's your favorite Vpop artists?
  At this time, I don't have a favorite but favorite Vietnamese artist in general? Probably Thai VG. My favorite artists (not Vietnamese) of all time is Lloyd Banks, Ben Gibbard and Anthony Kiedis.
• What are your other interests and hobbies?
  I like to make music, spend time with family, run/work out and write. I try to do everything myself and take matters in my own hands. Time is certainly precious. I like to travel as well.

Hello, my name is Bo,

I'm an older guy and K-Pop fan from Germany who also discovered V-Pop recently. I like Hoang Thuy Linh, MIN, Mi-A, Chi Pu and a few other singers (somehow I prefer female singers, but I acknowledge there are very good male singers). I am not a big fan of those sentimental ballads, yet some are very good. I prefer music that is experimental and adds dance or hip-hop without being entirely dance or hip-hop. I think Hoang Thuy Linh is doing a great job there in some songs. I am also interested in J-Pop (yes, even Babymetal) and music from China (G.E.M.) or other Asian countries, I like Ana De Leon or Monica Cuenco, for example. Unfortunately Asian music is literally ignored in Germany and it's quite difficult to get your hands on it. Even online platforms like Spotify offer only so much and the language barrier doesn't help much, either. I always welcome suggestions on artists or songs.

I like K-dramas from time to time as well as nicely done Wuxia. I left anime mostly behind me many years ago, I am of the Akira generation and liked Studio Ghibli, Ghost in A Shell, Neogenesis, Astroboy, Battle Angel Alita and stuff like that, but I never could get warm with Naruto or One Piece - that's kinda too whacky for me. ;)

When I was younger I used to play Pen & Paper Roleplaying Games a lot (the ones with dice not a video controller), recently I played Genshin Impact a lot, I loved the world and the look of it.

Unfortunately I only understand German, English and a view words of Korean here and there. But I am also very interested in the Asian languages (not going to master them, though) as well as culture and people.

I hope to follow some news of the growing V-Pop scene and get a better understanding of the music and the country as well.
