@dear_bae I think this is one of the downsides for most people. They do tend to harbor a lot of nasty-looking creatures but assuming there are not harmful, they can be avoided without worry.

A friend of mine wants to go here someday. I am not really into caves because of the darkness and bugs but the scenery of this one is oddly inviting and seems a lot different than the ones I am used to seeing.

I’ve been dreaming about visiting a cave for a long time, and now that I’ve seen Son Doong Cave in all its glory, I’m more determined than ever to make it happen. It’s not something I would have associated with the country, but after reading your post and looking at the pictures, I can see why it would be appealing for hikers.
