@weenie You will see more issues with them around water, this is true but this is stagnant water. This will be in central Vietnam by rivers, ponds, etc so you do not have to worry so much near the beaches.

Does Ha Long Bay have a lot of bugs? I have heard people complaining about it but I never actually looked into it. People tend to complain the most about mosquitoes since they carry disease. I know certain places of Vietnam are worse than others for those nasty buggers.
