I’ve been to both countries and I have to say, I really like Vietnam. It’s a lot less developed and touristy than Thailand, so you get a more authentic experience of the country. The food is also amazing!

I think that Vietnam is the better choice. Thailand is a great country, but it’s a little more expensive and there are more tourists there, so it can be hard to get immersed in the local culture. Vietnam has a lot of things going for it: delicious food, beautiful beaches, and a rich history. I’ve been there many times and loved it each time I was there!

I’ve been to both, and I think it really depends on your personality.

Thailand is more modern, with lots of good restaurants and shopping. You can also get around easily using Uber or Grab. But Vietnam is more laid-back, and has lots of beautiful scenery. We went on a cruise down the Mekong River in Vietnam, which was amazing!

In the end, it all comes down to what you want out of your trip.

I’ve been to Thailand and I think the people are very friendly and the night life scene is great for people who are single. I haven’t been to Vietnam but the one thing that turns me off is their 1 month visa. They should offer 3 month visas for foreigners for those who want to stay longer.

Having been to both, I think each one has very different things to offer as a guest visiting or someone considering moving to either place. For me, I always felt a strong connection to Vietnam as I am part Vietnamese myself.
