I think it's a great idea, but Vietnam is not the only place to go if you want to escape the Canadian winter. I'm going to Thailand next week!

Canadian winters are horrible. I grew up in Canada and remember so many bad storms and it just gets tiring after awhile. I think getting away from it is a nice treat and Vietnam is one of the best places to go.

I don't mind the winter months in Canada but they can feel much longer than they are. That being said, I would not mind getting away. I certainly would want to go somewhere warmer just for a change in scenery.

@soulie Canada seems like the winters come on faster too. There is a joke where you just make it to the beach and end up going home cause the summer has already ended.

Vietnam is definitely an awesome winter getaway! The breathtaking landscapes and balmy weather make it the perfect place to escape from the bone-chilling Canadian winter. I can't tell you how invigorating it feels to trade my bulky winter coat for a breezy sundress and explore the lively streets of Hanoi or unwind on the stunning beaches of Da Nang. Plus, the incredible Vietnamese cuisine will surely satisfy your taste buds. By the way, do you enjoy trying new and outlandish dishes?
