Most of my friends are on there. Some use it more than others. Only one of them makes videos the rest just watch and comment on stuff. When it first started, I thought it was a cool app. It reminded me of those other ones that blew up like Vine but it ended up becoming an app that pushes stupid trends and makes people famous for dumb reasons. I think there are creators on there who have value but so much of what is on the platform is just nonsense. I don't understand how this is still the most used app.
TikTok in and of itself being a video-sharing platform is fine. People with crappy culture and no moral values are the problems here. My main issue though with this app is that it is used as a data harvesting farm by the Chinese government.
I don't really have an opinion on it. I used it for a bit but got bored of it. I think a lot of the content is geared toward younger audiences, likely why I got bored with it so quickly. I think some of the things that trend on there are terrible though.
I like the app cause I can follow online creators I enjoy but I feel like there is too much going on that is not good on the app. I have seen and heard some really weird things being recommended to kids on there.
