How much longer do you think places like Facebook will be relevant?

I know so many people that used to use the platform daily and they seldom post anything on there any more, if at all. Many people just stopped logging in or they deactivated their accounts saying they find it boring or uneventful. A few people said they were only on there to look at pictures and they do that on Instagram now, they just follow friend and family accounts there. How much longer do you think places like Facebook will be relevant?

Facebook is losing members month and after month and has been this way since like 2018. Twitter as well but I think since Elon Musk bought the train wreck, they have increased members. I think people in general are getting burned out on social media apps as a whole. I give Facebook 5 more years before they shut down.

I think there will still be use for it even as things taper off. It is just a matter of re-branding and refreshing it which I think they are trying to do with Meta but they are failing.

Oh, I give Facebook another six months before it becomes completely irrelevant. Just kidding, but in all seriousness, I think Facebook will continue to be relevant for the foreseeable future because it's a tech company that can adapt to changes and trends. It's hard to imagine a world without it at this point! Plus, where else would we go to stalk our exes and high school classmates? All jokes aside, I think Facebook will stick around for a while, whether we like it or not.

I think it will remain a thing but not sure to what capacity. As it is right now, they are only losing people's interest in the platform and it is not a bad thing.

Facebook as it once was is dying off, that is for sure but I think they are looking to make it more of a tech business. Trouble is, there is a lot of distrust with the platform so a lot of people will not want to invest or use anything they have to offer.

10 years or so. I am surprised it has lasted this long. I don't see TikTok being relevant by 2026.  People move on so quick from things like this these days.

They will always be relevant but the audience will change. Facebook seems to be used mostly by people that are 35+ in age now. I don't know anyone under the age of 40 myself that uses Facebook.

I can see Facebook being around for a while still. I don't think places like TikTok will last forvever. I mean I know snapchat is still a thing but I don't know anyone that uses it anymore.
