Oh yeah, there are casinos in Vietnam. Of course, you gotta be licenced to even start a casino, but there are casinos out there.
Yeah there are a lot of online ones these days. I prefer it if I am going to gamble but I seldom do. If you want to irl experience, there are plenty. It just depends on where you will be staying.
I think it is silly that people go anywhere these days.
Gambling online is safer, easier, and often times cheaper. If you live in an area that allows it, just go with that option.
What area are you planning on being in? I know of a few from my couple of trips there. I have only been to one of them though. I am not much of a gambler but it was a nice place :)
I don't really like to play simple games, I like slot machines where advanced 3D slot.
It really depends on where you are going. I can't recommend anything without knowing the area but casinos are there and are open for tourists. In fact, I think mostly tourists go.
Grand Ho Tram Resort Casino is a good option if you are in that area. Another good one is the Palazzo Club Casino. I went to the first one mentioned but know someone who has gone to the second one.

Where except illegal ,ones not accessible to Occidentals ? I knew of some available to foreign tourists only, but they closed with covid. This said, Vietnamese gamble a lot playing card of Viet mahjong.
