According to sources, Intel is considering increasing investment in its chip packaging plant in Vietnam by $3.3 billion. The potential expansion comes as the demand for semiconductors continues to surge globally, and Vietnam is seen as a favorable location due to its lower labor costs and geographical proximity to other major markets. Intel has not yet confirmed the plans.

I think this is on the table because they know there is a huge risk that China will be going after Taiwan. They need to find another place that is cheap and reliable.

It's incredible to see how Vietnam is fast becoming a hub for the tech industry. The country's strategic location, abundant labor force, and supportive government policies are undoubtedly contributing to this growth.

I will keep an eye on this. It is a big deal if they sign something. That would mean such huge things for Vietnam in terms of really ramping up the economy.

Intel is smart to make moves like this. Vietnam has no threat unlike other places like Taiwan. They have to consider long term investments.
