Don't know which section I should post this, so I thought I would do it here.

NewJeans is the biggest group in Korea at the moment with vietnamese Hanni who is born and raised in Australia. A Viet Kieu.

Tempest is a boy group with former I-Land trainee Hanbin. They are doing great.

I love how these groups aren't just about the singing and music but perform and actually dance. So many singers in the west are lazy and don't do this much work these days.

I am impressed by their dancing skills, truly. I don't mind kpop. I know it is more popular than vpop still but I prefer vpop overall. I am not surprised to see other vpop stars blowing up in Korean groups.

Glad to see they are doing great in other places. It can be hard to blow up in other nations but they seem to have a good management team around them.

I've been critical of korean talent agencies opening up offices in Vietnam and try to create a Kpop inspired V-POP group over the years. With two active Kpop idols that are doing good overseas, this can change. No longer should vietnamese talent join some unknown company trying to make a genre that doesn't fit in the vietnamese music taste. Vietnamese who wants to dance and sing as a Kpop idol can now realize their dreams.

I've haven't followed kpop in over 5 years. I'm happy for the Vietnamese who are entering the kpop industry.

I hope this ends up working out for vpop artists. With the popularity of kpop, it can work as a stepping stone to introduce more people into vpop which I prefer myself.
