I have never been ice skating but a group of my friends are planning to go tomorrow. I am not sure if I will be able to manage. I have roller skated but not for many years. I have never been on ice though. I am worried I am going to fall and embarrass myself!
Yes and no. I have only been a handful of times but I can manage fairly well. Most places have a wall you can stay by if you are more comfortable. Don't feel bad if you fall either, so many people do! I would make sure to wear knee pads though just in case.
I am not sure. I have not done it since I was a kid. I didn't have any issues with it. I believe I learned how to skate in under an hour the first time but I was like 7 or 8 years old.
I never ice skated so I really don't know. I have been snowboarding a few times and was terrible at that. I would imagine ice skating is a lot easier than that is! lol
Did you end up going? I have not been skating for several years now but I used to go every season and it is fairly easy once you learn how to balance in the skates.
I am curious if you went as well. I used to play hockey growing up and I always found skating to be easier than rollerblading.
