Cheap way to grow indoors?

I would like to get some vegetables growing indoors but I don't want to spend a fortune doing it. I just want a simple set up where I can have vegetables year round. Nothing too complicated. I know most lettuce can be done indoors. What is a cheap way to do this?

You can get cheap grow lights on Amazon and find a used wire shelf. I am not sure how good this would be though for growing anything beyond herbs and lettuce. If you want to grow veg you will need to invest more and also learn how to cross pollinate by hand.

I agree with the above. You are going to need to invest a bit if you want to grow most vegetables indoors. And you have to also fertilize and water properly. You will be filling in for mother nature after all so it will be more time consuming.

You can look over that. Not sure how helpful it will be. I am not an experienced grower indoors or out so I am not much help here. I know if you have a fish tank, you can easily set up a system using that.

Just make use of smaller grow lights. I would only focus on one type of vegetable at a time. Some people are able to grow all sorts indoors but you need to learn and make mistakes.

Anything that requires pollinators will be very hard to grow indoors. These include cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and the like. I have grown spinach and herbs indoors no issue. I even managed garlic and a few carrots. You will have to spend a lot if you want a sizable indoor garden though.
