I have a bitcoin debit card and I'm thinking of funding my entire trip in Vietnam with bitcoin next year. I hope the major cities have BTC ATMs to withdraw Vietnamese dong. Anyone have experience with this?

That's a really good question. I imagine in Vietnam it could go either way. I don't have any history with bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, so I don't know for sure. But, I think most ATMs these days support it, but don't quote me on that, as I don't know if that's 100% factual.

You know you can withdraw from any ATM using a bitcoin/crypto debit card?

If it's a mastercard or visa, it acts like any other debit card. The exchange from BTC to cash is done from the card provider app. I don't know which app you use but most are like that.

Yeah, some cryptocurrency services just use a standard cash card like Mastercard. I used to have a card with bitcoin earnings, but I didn't stick with it for long, but you could use it like any other card. Just keep in mind, they may charge you a fee to use it.

@morgan ok that makes a lot of sense. I hear the fee is much higher because there is a conversion fee too to convert bitcoin to cash you can use.
