I heard wonderful things about Hoa Binh Lake but I never actually knew where it was located. Now I know and now I will have to visit. 🤩

@haitay Most people who travel want to see the big cities and be around all the attractions so a lot of places like this get overlooked but I think that is changing.

It's true that many travelers are drawn to the big cities and popular attractions, but I reckon there's a shift happening. People are starting to appreciate the hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path destinations more and more. And that's where places like Son La come in! It may not have the glitz and glam of a big city, but it offers a unique charm and plenty of things to see and do. So, don't let it be overlooked in your travel plans! Give it a chance and you might just be pleasantly surprised by what it has to offer.

The farmlands in this area are simply stunning and incredibly peaceful. I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want to visit such a beautiful place. Although, if you're more of a city person, I guess Son La might not be your cup of tea. But hey, there's so much more to explore beyond the city limits! Have you checked out the picturesque Muong Lo River? It's a fantastic spot for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Just imagine the refreshing dips you could take in the river while enjoying the breathtaking scenery.

It is funny because a lot of people don't think there is much to do in places like this but I find there is more to do and fewer people getting in the way of a good time. I personally think this is one of the best areas to visit if you are new to Vietnam!
