I figure Vietnamese is the most popular language to speak in Vietnam. But are there any other languages prevalent in Vietnam? I heard there are a decent amount of French speakers living in Vietnam, is that true?
French is not really relevant in Vietnam anymore. Obviously Vietnamese is the most popular language spoken in Vietnam and then I would say English is second and then other Asian languages such as Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. I don't know a single person young or old that knows French but I know several people who know Chinese or who are learning English or Japanese in school.
