I'm talking about the big companies like Sony and Universal coming in now. As big companies start to scoop up and sign Vietnamese artists, do you think Vpop will become too much like Western pop/Kpop?
The one thing I enjoy about Vpop is that the artists still have their creative freedom to tell their stories. The songs are more meaningful than your typical American pop or Kpop song. I hope 10 years down the line, Vpop songs won't be all about booty shaking, hair flips and the main verse of the song is repeating the words "apple pie, apple pie, apple apple apple pie" a dozen times.
