Hai Van Pass is located about 30 kilometers south of Hue, in central Vietnam. The easiest way to get there is by car or motorcycle. You can also take a bus from Hue, but it takes much longer and isn’t nearly as fun. Trust us, if you’re able, renting a car or motorcycle is definitely the way to go.

Once you arrive at Hai Van Pass, there are two ways to reach the top: by car or on foot. If you’re taking public transport, you’ll have no choice but go by car. But if you’re renting a car or motorcycle, we recommend taking the time to hike up to the top. It’s not a difficult hike—it should only take about 30 minutes—and it’s well worth it for the views.

There are so many amazing places to get such incredible shots in Vietnam! This one is at the top of the list just because you can see so much when you reach the top.

I saw a couple on Instagram that did honeymoon pictures in Hai Van Pass in 2019 and I have been obsessed with the area since. So many amazing sights there!

@lofire What a great place for a honeymoon! I wonder why there are not more people who choose Vietnam for this sort of trip. They always do Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Mexico, etc.

Is fog very common here? I have seen a lot of videos and pictures of the area, never been in person, but it always seems so foggy. Still very beautiful!
