I have been trying to work on establishing a savings for myself but every time I get money put aside, I end up having to dip into it. I just has to spend money on gifts and other things and I know by the time I get going again, it will be Christmas and I will be dipping into it again!

Yes, I do. I have one in my bank. I don't know how much is in there. I just push money into it each pay depending on how much I have left over. I think it is easier if you set a goal or minimum you want to add and have a separate saving for things like gifts.

Something that might help you with gift shopping is buying items a month or two in advance. Like for Christmas, I like to buy gifts for friends and family way beforehand. I will be done shopping by November most years.

The only advice I can give you is to work on earning more money. You sound like you are scraping by with what you are making which is no way to live.
See where you are overspending by tracking what you spend for one month. A lot of times, we can cut back and have more money in our pockets if we realize where our money is going.

The only tip I can give is to budget your money better. It will take time but once you are able to get things in order, you will likely find you have extra money each month.
