B&B or hotel?

I know a lot of people have more options today than ever before when it comes to vacations and staying away from home. What would you say you'd prefer to stay in when it came to hotels or B&Bs?

I have stayed in both and prefer B&Bs though they tend to be more expensive.

B&Bs are a lot more popular in my area. I know of at least 10 within a 10-minute drive. These are people renting out their whole homes. I have never stayed in one but I would like to someday.

I prefer to stay in bed and breakfast homes. Not ones where you rent a room but a whole house. I have done it a few times and it is so much better then staying in a hotel!

I don't mind. So long as the hotel is kept clean, they are what I mainly go for to save on money. I always read reviews and never stay at a place under a 4-star rating.

Hotels. They are cheaper, easier to book, and you don't have to worry so much about making a mess. In b&b houses and room shares, they tend to have their own rules and expectations and it is always more expensive.

B&Bs are WAY better but you end up paying 3 to 5 times the amount. You do get an entire house in most cases though so that might be worth it if you are traveling with a family or bringing pets along.

I don't mind staying in either. Each one has its downsides and its perks. I guess if I had to choose and cost wasn't an issue, a B&B would be better for privacy and comfort.

I would prefer to just have vacation homes lol

But yes, in most cases b&bs are better but they are always more expensive than hotels unless you plan on staying at some luxury hotel.
