A friend of mine recently got into it because of her boyfriend. He has skateboarded since he was 12 and uses his board to get around. She started learning from him and has managed to become decent at it in just a few weeks. He is actually buying her a skateboard for her birthday next month since she enjoys it so much now. I have never been able to skateboard myself though. I tried a few times and just get too scared!
No! I have little to no balancing skills! I can't even wear heels if they are too high. I have tried rollerskating before and hurt myself pretty badly so I put off all sorts of sports and enjoyment dealing with this kind of thing. Skateboarding is a big no for me!
I can't say that I have ever tried it to know. I didn't have anyone in my social circle who skateboarded growing up and certainly don't know anyone who does as an adult. Seems rare around here!
I did when I was younger. I was never very good at it in terms of tricks but I managed to stay on my board and have the balance just for skating around on flat surfaces.
