Does anyone know about cameras on phones? I have a really solid camera but I hate taking it places with me. I always think I am going to get it stolen or forget it so I want to get a phone with a better camera but I don't want to spend the amount you would when you are getting a flagship one. What is a good midrange option?

If you are willing to get an older phone, you can get a flagship phone like the s20 and have a fantastic camera on it. If you want something slightly newer, the s20 FE. If you want something that has come out in the last 6 months though. you are looking at spending a bit more for a good camera.

What brands do you prefer? I think iPhones tend to have the best cameras but they are also some of the most expensive phones.

If you want a great camera, you will be paying a lot. Most mid-range cameras are the same. I think the latest Google Pixel is probably your best bet. The Google Pixel 6 just came out last fall.

Why not just get a solid compact camera that has wifi and touch share? You can take amazing pictures and have them saved to your phone. I know it is one more thing to carry but it would be more worth it. You can get a great camera and use the phone you have now or get a new phone and get an okay camera.

The Samsung Galaxy s20 FE and s21 FE have great cameras without paying the full cost of the flagship!

@douknowhat My friend has one of these. I can't remember if it is the FE s21 or s20 but either way, it takes really nice pictures. The only downside is that if you are trying to get images of moving things like animals, it can be a bit blurry at times.
