For anyone who uses the platform, their new ad program is allowing creators who meet certain requirements to earn money on the platform. I think this is going to cause a huge influx of people using the platform from people looking to supplement other online ventures such as streamers on Twitch and YouTubers.
I wonder if they are changing this before the platform sees a switch in trends. Try and hook people in like YouTube did. I think other apps like this one could easily blow up at any time.
I think everyone in my social circle has already stopped using the app. I think it is fun for a bit but if you don't blow up or have specific people you want to follow, it gets boring.
@dear_bae I can't see it being phased out any time soon, not with younger people using it. It grew so much in the last 6 months. They have seen a constant growth in new members.
I was going to mention this. A friend of mine quit TikTok because it wasn't earning her nearly as much as it did last year, even though she has twice the number of views and comments.
