I don't live there, I am in Canada right now. I worry about what is happening there though. It seems like everyone is hating each other more and more. With the recent news of them getting rid of abortion, I am not sure how people will react. I am what is considered "pro-choice" but only to a certain point.

With the abortion stuff? Roe V Wade was some sort of protection law that forced all states to allow and provide abortion services. The case involved Roe falsely causing Wade of rape to get a late-term abortion. It was walked back because the higher court/government had no right to force this on states. People are mad now but I think they will adjust. As far as I know, 30 to 35 of the states will still continue to allow it.

The US has had problems for a long time. I can't see them getting any better than they have hate groups going around destroying things every time a social issue causes protests. That country has lost its moral compass and foundation.

The US has been on top for so long that most economic experts are shocked it hasn't collapsed decades ago. I feel like they are going to stop being leaders soon unless things change and they go back to being the country they were in the '40s and '50s.

Having lived in the US most of my life, I can say this culture stuff is nothing new. This is just political manipulation. This is the consequence of a two-party system in the government.

We always have problems! lol I think America is a giant TV show to the rest of the world at this point. I just try to focus on staying positive no matter what gets changed.

America is a beautiful place to live, but there are some cons as well. I don't think United States is united anymore, it's more divided than ever.

One of the biggest cons about America is abortion. They just overturned Roe v Wade which makes it illegal to get an abortion on the federal level. There are so many people who do not agree with abortion and think that it should be illegal. I believe that abortion should be legal because it can be very dangerous to the mother and child if it wasn't legal. Some abortions are necessary to save the mother's life. Also, I don't agree with the government having ownership of the mother's womb.

Another huge con about America is racism. Racism has been a problem in the United States for hundreds of years now and I don't think it will ever go away completely because of how much hate there still is for people who are different from you or who look different than you do.

@vietzone As far as I understand it, states will be banning it. The entire country is not. There will be several states that still allow it and have way less strict laws on abortion compared to most other states. France for example, it bans it past 14 weeks but in Colorado, you can have an abortion while you are in labor.

@boo_chan yes that's true, I think California and most democratic states will pass their own laws to allow abortion. However, I just heard that Republicans want to pass another law that prevents people from traveling to other states to get an abortion.
