I am having trouble thinking of something to get for my brother. I can't seem to come up with anything and his birthday is like 10 days away. What is a good gift when you don't know what to get someone??
I have this problem a lot and I will typically just go with a gift card. I know it is not very "thoughtful" but it is better than showing up with nothing.
Useful items are always good. Think of things that he might need for his home, car, or work. If you can't think of anything in particular, then just go with a gift card as mentioned.
@readysetgo I think this is something good to start off on. Usually, when I can't find something I want to get someone, I think of something that would be useful to them.
Gift cards seem to be the best bet. You can get something like a Visa where they can spend it anywhere or you can get a card for a restaurant you know they like.
I am terrible at buying gifts for people so I seldom do. I usually have my girlfriend pick them out for me and when I need to buy her something, I ask my sister for help. lol
@thirdstrikeiii I do the same, I outsource and ask my mom, sister, or my friend's sister for help lol
women are just better at shopping.

I think it’s time I follow through my dream vacation with my family and Vietnam is the best place in Southeast Asia I can think of. Sure, there are great beaches in Philippines and Thailand but the environment and food in Vietnam are a lot more enticing. I also wanted to explore their forests.
