I have been to Vietnam and it was a phenomenal experience. Definitely check out Phu Quoc Island, Hoi An, and the Mekong Delta!

Having been to several of these places, Mekong Delta seemed to have the most non-Vietnamese travelers. Hanoi has a lot as well but because it was a city, it was a lot less noticeable.

@tbh23 I have heard this as well. I think it is down to where it is located and what is in the area. That and I think people do extended stays there too.

I'm not sure what the big deal is about these places. Sure, they're all nice and all, but they're not that different from anywhere else.

5. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam is the rice paddies and villages that dot the country's landscape.

Vietnam's rice paddies are truly a delightful sight. The vibrant green fields stretching as far as the eye can see, with the backdrop of the peaceful countryside, is a picture-perfect moment waiting to happen. Plus, getting to explore the nearby villages and immerse yourself in the lively culture and friendly hospitality of the locals is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Trust me, you'll be left in wonder of the natural beauty and charm of this country!

Vietnam is truly a gem in Southeast Asia, and its most popular tourist spots are a testament to its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural landscapes. Ha Long Bay's towering limestone cliffs and emerald waters are a sight to behold, while Hoi An's quaint streets and ancient architecture transport you to a bygone era. I would love to hear any recommendations for off-the-beaten-path destinations to explore in Vietnam!
