Can you bring pets to travel to Vietnam?

I don't know if this has been asked yet, if so, my apologies. But I am curious. Can I bring my pets along for the trip whenever I travel to Vietnam? I have a cat and dog that I want to eventually take with me, but I want to be sure they can come before I decide to drag them along.

To my understanding you can bring one pet per passport, so per person. That means, if you have multiple dogs, they need to be with 1 person each. Otherwise you won't be able to travel with them all.

My mom learned it the hard way. As she was attempting to board, they wouldn't let her take both pets. So she had to call me and take both pets back, as she couldn't do that to them. But yeah, it's one pet per person. It might be different if you move there. But not sure.
