I have a thing, whenever I travel anywhere, I take sand from the area in a few baggies, and take it home with me. I mark each baggie with the location. It's just easier to use baggies, as containers take up more room.
I can't say I have, but I know a few people who have done exactly that. It's a fun thing to do sometimes I imagine, to take a little piece of where you went.
Never, but now that you mention it, I kind of want to try doing it next time I travel. Not sure if I will be traveling many places yet, but this could be fun.Â
