When it comes to flying out to Vietnam, do you have to fly anywhere else first before taking another flight to Vietnam? A friend of mine who did go to Vietnam many years ago, he said he had to take a connecting flight out of another country, and go from there.Â
Or, could you get a flight right out to Vietnam, with just one destination?
It depends on which country you're from. If you're from the USA then you have to have a connecting flight. There are no nonstop flights from and to the USA and Vietnam. The last time I went, the flight was from: the USA > Hong Kong > Vietnam. My family has also gone from the USA > South Korea > Vietnam. There is a high chance that there will be nonstop flights sooner than later to and from the USA and Vietnam though. It has been in the talks.
Yeah, usually there are connecting flights you have to take, it's not a quick flight by any means. My mother traveled out to Vietnam around 10 years ago, and she had to take a few connecting flights to get there.Â
