I have been to the Dong Xuan Market and loved it! I think if you are looking for a more cultural-themed experience, then this is the best spot. Other malls are more modern and commercialized.
This is something I have never done in Vietnam and I don't know why! I have never actually been to one of their larger malls! I have done markets and things like that but not a full-size mall. I will have to make sure I go to one on my next trip!
@vinami I don't think it is something people consider to be a big deal today since in many countries, online shopping has taken over and big box stores are more shopped at than malls. The two local malls we had both closed down. One in 2017 and the other in 2020.
