A friend of mine wants to go in January but his funds are very limited. He has to be able to afford flights, hotel, and food as well as have play money for shopping and guided tours. Which area of Vietnam would you say is best for a trip like this?
Hanoi has amazing food and tributes to Vietnamese culture everywhere. It is said to be as much as 75% cheaper than NYC to give you an idea. Halong Bay is a great place if you want more of a water/scenic trip.Â
I second this. I have read a lot of blogs and articles that specify the best locations and these are always at the top. There is so much you can do and you can do it on a budget in either place and still have an amazing time.Â
