If you're feeling the winter blues and need a break from the UK's cold weather, why not embark on a journey to Vietnam for some well-deserved rest and relaxation? Vietnam's weather during the winter months of December, January and February is still warm and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 20-25 degrees Celsius. Vietnam is a great destination for anyone looking to soak up some sun while avoiding the cold winter months in the UK. photo:…

A friend of mine who moved to the UK is planning a trip to Vietnam actually right now! She will be going in early February. I am very jealous. She is doing it because she wants more sunshine and warmer weather.

I'm so excited for your friend! I absolutely love Vietnam.

I especially like Hue. It's really beautiful there, and the people are lovely. If your friend has time, she should definitely go to Hue.

I'm delighted to hear that you love Vietnam too! Hue is indeed a captivating place with such welcoming and hospitable people. I couldn't recommend it more for your friend's trip. The history and architecture there are truly awe-inspiring. By the way, when I visited Hue, I stumbled upon this undiscovered restaurant that served the most flavorful traditional Vietnamese dishes. It was like a gastronomic journey!

I would highly recommend going when you're feeling depressed by the winter weather in the UK. It will be a refreshing change!

I lived in the UK half my life and as much as I loved a lot of aspects about it, the weather was never one of those things. I hated the rain and the almost non-existence of the sun. I remember the one year we had maybe 20 days where the sun was out all day.

I don't mind the weather too much in the UK but after awhile, it just kind of feel depressing. I can completely understand wanting to go somewhere else, especially somewhere like Vietnam during the winter months. I wish I could go! I would book some flights right now.

It's also cold in Northern Vietnam like Hanoi during the winter. Hanoi can get as cold as 12 °C during winter. You would have to wear a sweater or jacket when you go there. But if you go further south, you will get warmer temperatures. Saigon can be 20-30 °C during winter. But I'll take any of these over the -2 °C in London.

I understand, the frosty temperatures in London can be a bit disheartening. But you're correct, venturing further south can certainly bring some solace. Even in places like Hanoi, it can still get a tad chilly, so bringing a cozy sweater or jacket is a wise decision. By the way, have you ever thought about exploring different regions of Vietnam? There's so much to uncover beyond the weather!

Good  idea! My friend in the UK didn’t look well when he video called me. He told me he was freezing cause he couldn’t afford to turn on the heater in his home. The electricity costs are very high in the UK right now.

I'm so sick of this winter weather! I'm ready to book a trip to Vietnam where the weather is warm and the sun is shining.
