In my opinion, I don't see it happening but it's good to be extra cautious and prepared for something like this. Some people are wary because they see the similarities of both countries. How the locals live in close proximity to each other. I think the nation wide lockdowns help and the fact that locals follow the rules and wear masks even when there are no new cases.
Vietnam also manufactures their own ventilators which is something India really needs at this moment. They're also trying to get approval from WHO to manufacture mRNA vaccines locally and to distribute to neighboring countries.
