Netflix is reportedly planning to open an office in Vietnam, which would make it the first major US tech company to have a direct presence in the country. Vietnam has seen significant growth in its digital economy and is one of the fastest-growing markets for Netflix in the Asia Pacific region. The move is expected to help Netflix expand its presence in Southeast Asia.

I am shocked they have the money. I don't think they have turned a true profit since 2012. They keep outspending what they bring it and it boggles my mind how they do that.

This is great news for Vietnam. It is more jobs and more opportunities for people to expand. I know with big corporations like this, it will allow for locals to experience more and even travel for certain positions which has to be fun!

Netflix is a big deal as is the entire streaming market these days. Opening a building/office for Netflix within Vietnam will likely open up so many other possibilities.

I don't use Netflix anymore. I really can't comment on what they are or are not doing. I really don't care. They soured me to the company one too many times. If this benefits Vietnam though and doesn't hurt the culture, I am all for it.

Netflix is such a huge company at this point but as mentioned, they are bleeding money. I would imagine this expansion comes down to investor money. Cool to see them expanding to Vietnam though!
