The storm is heading right for central Vietnam and is expected to hit Vietnam's Hoang Sa within the next 24 hours. In the Philippines, the winds were reaching 183 kilometers per hour. If you know anyone currently visiting Vietnam or have family there, make sure to keep in touch if they are in areas where the storm will be passing through!

I heard about this. I am sure everyone is well aware and making preparations. I don't know anyone from or in the area where the storm is hitting the hardest but I hope everyone is staying safe!

I hate storms. It is always bad when you hear of big ones that move through several regions or even countries. I hope everyone makes it through unharmed. I know damages are almost always unavoidable.

I heard it wasn't as bad as they predicted but it was still damaging and there are still lingering rain storms. I just hope the storms is fading at this point. So many people get hurt or killed in these storms each year.

It was downgraded fro Vietnam, thankfully but there are still high risks of flooding. I just hope people were prepared and left if they didn't have the means to make it.

@hasangie This is good news. I am not really familiar with the storm but knowing it has been downgrading must have been a huge relief to the locals.
