For those of you who have been to Vietnam or those who plan on going, which do you prefer to travel with? Friends or family? I have been to Vietnam only with my family and one friend so I had a mix of both happening and enjoyed it. When I go back, I will just be going with friends so I have more freedom to do what I want.
I guess it depends on where I am going and what my plans are. Generally, I prefer to travel with family as they can stick to plans easier and we tend to want to do the same things.
I have only traveled outside of my country with family. I have traveled within my country with friends. I don't know if I would prefer one over the other but I find long-distance traveling to be better done with family as I know I can tolerate them for longer periods! lol
I prefer to travel with a small group, can be friends or family, or both. I am not too fussy. I care more about who the person is and how well we get along vs if I am related to them or not. Some friends I would never travel with and some family I would never travel with.
I prefer to travel in small numbers and usually family does not. So in most cases, I will travel with a friend or two. On occasion, my brother will go with me - just the two of us, and I really enjoy those trips.
I like to travel more with friends. We can go off and do our own thing and meet back up. Family tends to want to stick together. Especially true for older and younger family members.
I like to travel with friends. Family can be messy and come with baggage. When I travel with friends, we can go our separate ways and meet back up, no issues.
My family can be a bit nutty and make simple issues complex problems that linger for days. Last time I went somewhere with my family, it eas hours of complaints about the towels in the hotel.
