When she mentioned the wife coming to live with the husband and his family, this is something that happens in other countries as well. It is considered "not normal" in the US. They are expected to move out from the home and be their own couple for it makes sense to do it the way they do in Vietnam just to have more help, wealth, and independence outside the home.
I love how close they are to their families and I know that place is developing rapidly. I just hope they do not lose that togetherness and family bonding. I think that is the reason places like the US, UK, Australia, and Canada have so many issues now.
I find that people in many Asian countries have a much more stronger family bond than more European decent countries. I am not sure why that is or what changed.
She talks about them growing and expanding. That is my fear for other places around the world. They will expand and adapt destructive behavior and culture like many other nations have.
As long as they preserve their culture as they grow as an economy, they will do just fine! I learned about the history in America and how everything went downhill after the '60s. So sad.
