What do you think about American pop, J-pop, K-pop, C-pop, T-pop, L-pop, I-pop, M-pop, P-pop, etc. as a V-pop fan ?
Compared to V-pop for example ?
I feel like Vpop has a lot of 90s American pop undertones which I personally enjoy. I feel that was the height of pop music in the West overall. Most of my favorite American pop music is from like 1993 to 2001.
Most people will share similarities. I have seen it across the board. No matter where you go in the world, they tend to follow the same if not similar trends that help to establish the music and make it popular among its fans.
American pop I think kind of set the stage for more other versions and varieties of pop. You can see them following the patterns and trends from the 80s and 90s in America. I think each one has its own flavor though which makes them unique.
I enjoy all pop music. I have heard pop music from just about every country. I don't always understand the songs but I have favorites in most places. I think pop in general is the best genre to open you up to new music. I found vpop through kpop.
