Do you know anyone with a water bed?

I know they were a popular thing years ago but I haven't heard of anyone owning one in such a long time. I would imagine this is down to them just not being durable and causing a mess the second it breaks! I think those foam mattresses have become the new standard even replacing spring mattresses.

I have never seen one of these in person. I have only ever seen them in older TV shows and movies. I feel like this has not been a thing since like the 1980s or something.

I don't even know what a water bed looks like. I had no idea it was ever a thing. I will have to take a look online and see one for myself. That just sounds like a terrible idea, especially if you have dogs or cats!

I have only ever seen them on TV. I have never seen one in person. I guess my father's older brother owned one years ago and it broke within a few months and ended up causing water damage to the place he was renting.

A friend of mine, his parents had one when he was a young child. I guess he was the one who put a hole in it with a toy. Made a mess of things. They sound like they would be comfortable but way too risky for me.

I have never seen one anywhere. I am sure some people around the world still use them though. I guess for the right person, it might relieve pain. I would never want one. Too much of a risk.

So I am not alone then! I remember them being a thing only because of older TV shows and movies but it seems like most people stopped using them in the '80s or '90s!

@weenie Water beds just sound like a terrible idea! I am shocked they were even still a thing in the '90s!
