Assuming it is affordable where you live, would you like to own property one day or are you content with renting? Most people in my friend circle do not wish to ever own. They don't want that level of responsibility. I can understand why but at the same time, I would like to own my own home.
I think I would like to but the timing has to be right for it. I don't want to buy something and end up with debts or risk losing it due to my lacking income.

Not sure. I feel like where I am, it will always be out of reach for me. You need a fairly high income to own a house and property of your own and even then, do you really own it?
I think so. I am just not sure where I want to settle down yet. That will be the defining factor. Some places make it insanely hard to own your own house and land, other places it is easier but also more expensive.
@tbh23 This is a fair point as well. Some people end up settling down in a completely different location or even country from their home country. I have a friend that moved to Germany a few years ago to be with her now husband.
@weenie Exactly. Have to keep my options and my mind open to new possibilities. For all I know, I will meet someone and marry them in another country and live in a place I can't even imagine living in right now.
Yeah for sure if I can. I mean I think a lot of people would if it is doable but so many don't have the option. Some places it is just too expensive or unrealistic!
Of course, renting a property will be a lot less of a problem, but I think it's much more enjoyable to own a property. I used to rent houses a lot, and because of that, I had to move around a lot, and now I hate moving around because it's a difficult and long process. What's more, finding an apartment to rent is also difficult.
I think finding a home that you can call your own is a great thing.
Sadly, a lot of young adults just can't afford it or can't manage the finances around such a big purchase. I am hoping to buy a home one day.
