I am not sure how people feel these days about saving money or having a savings/next egg. I don't have enough to actually put aside and save right now. I am working on it though. I am tempted to get into investing though. I heard a lot of stories from people around the world who became wealthy from/thru investing, especially in crypto.

If you know about investing enough, it is almost always better to invest when the economy is facing a downward trend. This protects the value of your currency from tanking with the economy. Depending on where you live, it might be worth doing.

I would never invest without researching. I know very little about it. Even when it comes to crypto and NFT buying and trading, it is all gibberish to me! I save my money for the time being.

Saving money long-term is not ideal when the economy is in a downward trend. You are better off investing. You do not need to do this through stocks or even crypto. You can invest in objects. Buy items that are very likely to increase in value over time.

I think the concept of saving money is overrated. Sure, save and have a nest to fall back on when times get tough but beyond that, you are just losing value over time. Investing is better.
