I was really into it when I was younger but have not watched it in a long time. I don't even know who is popular at this point. Most of the ones I liked have either retired or passed away it seems. Do you watch stand-up comedy? If so, who would you recommend?
I can't say I do. I think stand-up in general has gone a bit stale. Either people are trying too hard to be offensive or they are too afraid of being offensive. Both ruin comedy.
@aodaii I agree! I have been saying this for a while. If you push too hard to be offensive, you end up completely offputting. If you are too afraid to tell a joke though, you end up just being boring to watch/listen to.
@haitay I like Ricky as well. He is one of few who keep things real and speaks his mind. I also like Dave Chappelle and a few others. I don't watch much stand-up though.
I was never into it. I have some friends who are into it so much so in fact, they go to local live stand-up events. I was invited a few times but I never go. Not really my thing.
No. I never have. I guess I just was not interested in it at any point. I would rather watch a comedy series or movie.
