Have you ever went snowboarding or skiing?

This is something I have never done but a friend of mine wants me to go with their group. I don't have any skills when it comes to balance so I am a bit concerned! I am wondering which would be easier to learn. Does anyone have any experience with either?

I have not. I would imagine skiing is easier though. Having feet sideways and strapped to a board sounds quite difficult and you could probably easily injure yourself. And that could be quite embarrassing!

I have gone skiing a few times. I tried snowboarding once and gave it up. Skiing is easier to learn, especially if you are doing bunny hills (beginner-level slopes).

Snowboarding is very hard. I have tried it a few times and gave up on it. I can tell you with never having put on a pair of skis that it will surely be easier. You are facing forward for one which is more natural and you are not as strapped down.

I have not and never had a desire to. I am not really a big fan of the cold. The only cold-weather sport or activity I have ever done was ice skating and I was not very good at it. I was able to do basic things but fell once and hit my head really, really hard.

I have tried snowboarding and hurt myself so I never bothered to go back. I have wanted to try skiing but no one I know is into it and I would have to travel to do it.
