I did when I was a teen. I wrote a few. Never did anything with them. I think it was just a creative outlet I once enjoyed. I was never great at writing.
I played music growing up and have tried to make my own songs but never could. I think you need to have a natural talent for it as well as training.
I was never great at writing but if I was, I would have loved to be a songwriter. I wish I could sing and write so I could be a singer-songwriter! Sadly, I am no good at either.
I have only written stories, never songs.
I feel like if I could write songs or poetry, this would have been a path I pursued. I think most singers use songwriters as well and don't sing their own songs.
