Is it worth investing in gold and silver?  

I think it can be worth it but I am no professional invester. 

I do have a collection of gold and silver chains. Not sure what the value of those would be at this point.

Considering prices of everything are down, I would say investing now is a good time just because you are getting better prices. Does that make sense? Buy on the dip!

I am not good with investments but I will say that it seems like investing in more useful things seems like the smarter choice. Buying things that last and will be useful. Since prices are going up on everything, the resell value could be a lot higher.

I know a few people with gold coins. I think if you are going to invest in either, just do them in coin form so they are easier and cheaper to melt down.

Generally, people are not bragging about their gold. Anyway, it is very much alive here. Women routinely buy small ingots as savings, which is very intelligent because, when something goes bad in the world or your country, your money is worth less and the vaue of your gold gets higher
