Has anyone every done one of these introduction tours? This ones goes from Hanoi to Hoi An. A friend of mine was looking into options like this as she has never been to Vietnam. I'll put the link below to the tour. I have never done one of these so I am not sure if I could recommend it or not.

I have heard of something similar but never gone on one of these tours myself. I can't really recommend it without having had any experience here. The reviews sound good though!

I have seen several of these. I wanted to do one for my next trip but I have to find an area that is 100% new to me. They sound like a lot of fun. It would probably be great for someone that has never gone to Vietnam before for sure.

@aodaii I agree with this. It sounds perfect for someone who has never gone to Vietnam as you can enjoy the tour and book a few extra days to explore on your own.

I went on a 3 day tour for my first trip. I will have to see if I can actually find it. It was just a tour that focused on one area and I stayed in a different hotel each night. It was fun! I didn't have to plan anything.

That agency is CRAZY !!! You need minimum 2 days Hanoi and 2 days Halong Bay. You just have 5 days left and, if you do Hoi An, you miss the best in the North after Halong, the sensational Northern Mountains (Sapa-Bac Ha). JUST spend the 9 days in the North.

@Larsay I agree with this. You DO miss out on a lot with limiting your stay in certain locations.

I can understand why these tours are appealing to some people though.

I have a friend who has done one but not in Vietnam, it was in Korea. That being said, she did love it and said it was a great first time experience to get her toes wet.
