I found this article to be really informative and helpful in deciding which country to visit between Vietnam and the Philippines, and it reminded me of my own experience traveling to Southeast Asia where I met some of the kindest people and tried some of the most delicious food.

Having visited both countries, I must say that while the Philippines offers breathtaking beaches and a unique island-hopping experience, Vietnam has a rich culture, diverse cuisine, and historical landmarks that are worth exploring.

i have not written that the Philippines are not beautiful. The Palawan are a wonder and the mountains admirable. As a matter of fact, the reason i do not like the country is the extreme poverty, with a small oligarchy owning over 40% of the land; I have seen in Manilla entire families including babies sleeping on cartons in the streets. Where do they go when it is raining ?

I hear you. poverty is tough to see. Yeah, Manila can be intense, but have you explored the vibrant side streets? People are resilient. Palawan is a gem. When it's raining, they find shelter. Cozying up indoors during rain is a cozy way to enjoy rainy days.
