I agree with you. I'd say that using Vietnam as a hub makes sense because it's the closest country to several countries in the region and can make it easier to get around. If you look at where Vietnam is, it's basically in the center of Asia: Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar is west of Vietnam, China is north, Japan/Korea/Taiwan is northeast, Philippines is east, Malaysia/Indonesia is to the Southeast, Singapore is to the southwest. Very convenient and prices for flights are cheap.

Having been to all Asian countries, I have been saying this for years. It is the cheapest and most rewarding way to experience all Asian cultures without wasting time or money.

Vietnam sounds like the perfect hub. It is affordable, easy to access, and you can enjoy so much in a short amount of time, even if you are just passing through.

This is a great suggestion but for me, if i am going through Vietnam, I plan on staying there. I would much rather plan individual trips to countries then fly through and around to several but that is just me!

I have always wanted to go on a 6 month trip throughout all of Asia. Maybe some day I will be able to afford it. I really want to do it while I am young enough to enjoy everything!

I'm so excited to go to Vietnam! The country is centrally located and has easy access to neighboring countries. The food is amazing and can be found at many restaurants. There are also buses that go to most major destinations in Southeast Asia.

@lemondrops777 I am intrigued by the idea of using Vietnam as a hub for traveling Asia. What are some must-visit destinations that can be easily accessed from there?
