There are many underrated cities in the world that offer a unique and authentic experience. Hoi An, Gia Lai and Buon Ma Thuot are three of the most beautiful and interesting cities in Vietnam that are worth exploring. Each city has something different to offer visitors, from ancient temples to stunning natural landscapes. If you're looking for an off-the-beaten-path destination in Vietnam, be sure to add these three cities to your list! Hoi An photo:…

Hoi An is beautiful. I had no idea it was considered to be underrated. I guess people would rather go to bigger cities that are more established? You miss out on so much culture though when you do that.

I've been to Hoi An, and it's a lovely place! I'd love to go back someday.

But I think the author missed one of the most underrated cities in Vietnam: Hue! It's more underrated than Hoi An but it's got a rich history, great food and culture, and is just generally wonderful.

I've been to Vietnam twice and I can't wait to go back. Hoi An is my favorite city, but I've heard Gia Lai is also great. Buon Ma Thuot is also underappreciated. It's not as touristy as Hanoi or Saigon, but has some amazing sites!

Gia Lai Sounds amazing. I have not gone there and would have otherwise not even thought to. I hardly hear anything about it in terms of travel. I will eventually have to go!

I've heard a lot about Hoi An and also Gia Lai. I'm definitely interested in checking out both places!
