I see people in the north hitting big pipes called Thuoc Lao falling on their asses and gasping for air. It makes me wonder if it's actually tobacco or something harder.
I heard it's a weed-friendly country if you're an expat. Is that true and what's the worse thing that can happen to me if I'm caught smoking it or eating an edible?
Yeah to my understanding it's illegal to have cannabis in your possession. I imagine people will smoke it either way though. Bit I also imagine you could face some jail time for having it.
@caraa I'm not smoking pot there. A friend told me that the worse that can happen is getting the death penalty.
@thanggalang Yikes, that's scary stuff. I didn't know you could get the death penalty for it. I'm not into the drug myself, but I know people who are, so maybe it's best if they didn't smoke there.
To my knowledge it's not very safe to use drugs like that in Vietnam. Even if it's not as bad as people make it out to be, it's still something Vietnam is not very keen on.
