Masks still a thing in Vietnam?

It seems most places still have people that wear them but the numbers are way lower and there isn't any place that requires it anymore. The requirements were lifted where I am last year, even for hospitals. What about Vietnam? Are masks still being used? Are they required anywhere?

Yes and no. Some places you will see people wearing masks still but from what I have heard, everything is much more relaxed. I believe they still don't want you unmasked in airports, public transport, or hospitals but it is no longer being enforced.

There are still places that do require it. It is hard to say where those places are as it is not publicly shown on any travel sites though. I just know certain areas still want you wearing one. So for anyone going, just keep a few washable ones handy with you.

Yeah people still are expect to wear them in some areas. Just take one with you. I mean really, at this point everyone should be traveling with them.

@readysetgo I agree. It doesn't matter if there are or are not at this point. A lot of people will still choose to request or require it, even if the government does not.

From what I can tell, you have to actually look into specific locations to know for sure. There is no mask mandate but certain areas, building, and places will still require them before you enter.

A friend of mine just got back from a trip and he said he did not need a mask any where he went but his experiences could be different as not all areas are like this. I would say to look into wherever you want to travel to a head of time or just pack some masks just in case.

Yes. Just hard to know where/when you will need one.

There are shops and such that still sell them if you happen to not have one. I just prefer to travel with my own cloth masks. I have very cute ones that work great with my glasses.

I think masking will continue to be a thing moving forward just because people generally don't like others spreading their germs.
